Making Chocolate Covered Pumpkin Seeds

Jenna is becoming quite the little helper in the kitchen. She wants to help with everything, which makes dinnertime a little challenging, but recipes like chocolate-covered pumpkin seeds provide the perfect set of tasks for her little hands.

First, we washed the seeds and placed them on a pan lightly covered in peanut oil.

I sprinkled with salt and roasted them for 25 minutes at 350 degrees:

Next, I melted semi-sweet chocolate chips and Jenna stirred it into the seeds:

Jenna taste-tested the mixture a couple of times to make sure everything was just right:

And once approved, I spread the mixture onto a pan, placed it in the fridge for about an hour and then dessert was ready:
