Daily Art: Ornaments

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Crayola Air Dry Clay
  • Cookie Cutters
  • Paint
  • Glitter
  • Ribbon, Yarn or String
  • Toothpick

  • Roll out the clay to about 1/4 in thickness and cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  • Use a toothpick to create a hole at the top of each shape. You can also engrave the name and/or year on the back of your shape with the toothpick.
  • Let dry for 1-2 days.
  • Paint the front side of each shape and then sprinkle with glitter. Let dry and then paint the back. Older children will likely paint the sides too, but our 2-yr-old artist chose to leave the sides bare.
  • After both sides are completely dry, tie a string through the hole.
