Jason was a fan of hibachi (which he calls ‘the kabachi’) right from the start. Edamame, chopsticks and fire – what’s not to love? Jenna, on the other hand, was much less enthusiastic. Sometimes she would even yell ‘not the fire!’ upon learning that we were going out to dinner. Since it had been nearly a year since our last visit to a Japanese restaurant, we decided to try it again last week. And although we eat out nearly every Friday, Jenna somehow sensed the impending danger and yelled ‘not the fire!’ as soon as we got in the car.
I’m happy to say that Jenna is officially over her fear of ‘the kabachi,’ and, even better, we finally have a restaurant in our neighborhood that we can all agree on. And now that J + J are clearly huge fans of Japanese food, I think we’ll go back and try the sushi.
